This year, High Risk Hope (HRH) will serve 2,000 premature infants.
Over 22,500 (10%) babies will be born prematurely in Florida this year.
Families with premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) spend many hours by their baby’s side. Premature infants will spend weeks to months in the hospital before going home. A number of these families will have to return to work and make the trip from work to the hospital several times a day. High Risk Hope saw a need to support these families by bringing them together with meals. Food provides comfort to those experiencing emotionally stressful times. Your sponsorship will provide support for families in the NICU during their hospital stay.
Dinners are held the first Friday of each month at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital and the fourth Monday of each month at Mease Countryside Hospital. We serve approximately 10-20 people. If your restaurant or catering business is interested in sponsoring a meal please email info@highriskhope.org. If you are interested as an individual in sponsoring a NICU dinner, you may donate to sponsor a month.
