Being born prematurely has only given our High Risk Hope babies all the more reason to succeed. Resilience and strength are words that we commonly hear families use to define their preemies. Premature babies’ parents are scared and unsure of what the future may hold. Seeing their babies’ delicate state and how medically fragile they are when they are born, their only hope is that their baby will be able to hit each developmental milestone throughout their life. They hope that their baby will overcome any struggles they may face due to their premature birth.
When you begin the first moments of your life fighting to survive there is nothing that will get in your way. These preemies have not let their prematurity define them. They are ready to take on the world and have big dreams.
We are grateful for the support we receive from community partners like the Outback Bowl. The $10,000 grant they awarded HRH this year enables us to provide the mental and emotional support these families need during their long hospital stay. We strive to give families hope, empowering them to fight alongside their fragile babies. And hope that they will take home a healthy, happy child. And thanks to the support we receive from the Outback Bowl each year, we know that one day we may see them play under the lights.
